What Is Street Medicine?

Street Medicine brings healthcare directly to people living outside, in encampments, on sidewalks, under bridges, and in shelters. Our teams meet patients on their terms, providing medical care, behavioral health support, and connections to housing, dental care and social services.  

Our mobile teams deliver healthcare in public spaces, addressing acute needs and building trust that leads to ongoing care. Services available to underinsured and uninsured Individuals:

  • Wound care
  • Prenatal care
  • Birth control
  • Blood pressure & sugar checks
  • STI/STD Testing & Treatment, PrEP
  • Medications for Substance Use Disorder
  • Housing coordination
  • Specialty Care Referrals
  • Medication refills
  • Medicaid/SNAP application assistance
  • Connection to a Primary Care Provider for HIV & Hepatitis C Care, and chronic disease management
  • Free transportation to and from appointments at CHASS Centers
